dor Feeling Stressed? Get some fresh air!

Bills, loans, homework, work, errands! We stress over so many different things as we go about our day and stressing too much can sometimes lead to feelings of depression. In my own experience, sometimes I don’t want to do anything, I don’t want to get out of the bed, I don’t want to eat, I get stuck in a funk that can last for hours if I let it. This mostly happens when I spend too much time in the house.  If you let depression take over your life you’ll lack the motivation needed to change your current situation.  Aside from stress, there are a couple of other reasons you may start to feel depressed like; lack of sunlight/fresh air, and also lack of exercise.

So if you are overly stressed and feeling down and need a quick remedy , here are a few tips to help you  feel better more often:

Go for a walk! Get some fresh air! Let the sun shine on your face. Something as simple as going for a walk can lift your moods dramatically  and make you feel better.

Exercise! If you’re like me then when you hear the word “exercise” you immediately think of trying to lose weight and /or having to do something that you don’t want to do. Well I just recently learned that when you exercise you actually release endorphins or “happy chemicals” which make you feel good! So now when I exercise I know that I am keeping my stress levels down and overall keeping my body in good health. I also recommend getting massages when you can, even if its from someone you live with. We hold tension in different parts of our body and most of the time we don’t realize it, and then we wonder why we don’t feel good!  Notice how you feel throughout the day and do some of the things listed above to keep your body and mind feeling amazing!
